Mini-Pupillage
What can we offer?
- A two day mini-pupillage following a barrister during the course of a normal working day. It may be that a mini-pupil follows a variety of different barristers over the two days. Commencing 09:30 daily in Chambers, finish time varies widely.
- Specific barristers or exposure to specific types of law cannot be guaranteed.
- The nature of the profession does of course mean that there may be times during a mini-pupillage where there is either no suitable work or no barrister available although all efforts will be made.
- There is currently a wait of approximately 2 years though dates are set at the time of a successful application.
- It may be that simple tasks of assistance are required of the mini-pupil.
Who may Apply?
- Undergraduates and postgraduates of a University-based course in a legal discipline.
- Sixth-formers seeking work experience are asked to wait until at University before applying.
What is Expected of Mini-pupils?
- Cancellations should be made as soon as possible. Please be aware that alternative dates will already have been allocated and so cancellation will necessitate a lengthy wait.
- Professional standards of dress, punctuality and behaviour.
- All mini-pupils will be asked to sign a confidentiality undertaking.
How to Apply?
- Applications should be made, by email only, to Mike Hill at mini.pupil@trinitychambers.co.uk. Applications by another form of correspondence may not be taken.
- Each application should have two attachments, both in Word format:
- Covering letter
- Curriculum Vitae
- Mini-pupillages will only be offered to applicants demonstrating the highest of academic and extra-curricular achievements.
