Head of the Trinity Employment Group,
Jane Callan as well as
Philip Engelman,
Richard Stubbs and
David Comb have been chosen to be part of the Equality & Human Rights Commission Preferred Panel of Counsel.
The
Commission was set up under the Equality Act and is a Non-Departmental Public Body sponsored by the Government Equalities Office. Their remit is to “promote and monitor human rights and to protect, enforce and promote equality across the seven “protected” grounds – age, disability, gender, race, religion and belief, sexual orientation and gender re-assignment.”
Given Trinity’s employment team’s extensive experience of Equal Pay and other discrimination related work, as well as Trinity’s focus on public law and human rights related matters generally, the panel membership clearly fits in with Trinity’s strategic aims.
