Personal Injury - James undertakes both claimant and defendant personal injury work in a number of areas, including road traffic, employers' liability and occupiers' liability. He appears in matters ranging from the small claims track to the multi-track and is happy to accept work on a CFA basis.

Employment- All aspects with a particular interest in unfair dismissal and discrimination matters.

Commercial and Chancery - Insolvency, commercial disputes, landlord and tenant, injunctions

Additional Information:

Prior to returning to the North-East to practise at the bar, James worked as a lawyer in the litigation department of a prominent offshore law firm in Jersey, with a particular focus on asset recovery, financial services related disputes, trusts litigation and personal injury claims.
