Andrew Crammond
SPECIALISMS:
Employment
Andrew regularly represents both claimants and respondents in all aspects of employment law, with particular focus on and interest in claims involving unfair dismissal, whistleblowing, discrimination and TUPE transfers. He appears in Tribunals nationwide, including Scotland, and has represented clients on numerous multi-day hearings, including a ten day race discrimination and unfair dismissal claim. He has also represented and advised four claimants in their claims against five respondents in a case involving complex TUPE transfer issues. He is happy to provide advice and assistance in relation to all matters, including the drafting of pleadings.
Andrew has recently appeared in the EAT and provides advice and drafting services in relation to appeals, for both appellants and respondents.
Personal Injury
Andrew undertakes both claimant and defendant work in a range of personal injury matters, ranging from infant approvals, pre-action disclosure and small claims to multi-track hearings. He has experience in road traffic, employer’s liability and occupiers’ liability cases. He also has significant experience in credit hire claims. He accepts instructions to both represent parties at hearings and to provide advice, with a prompt return of the papers, in relation to liability, quantum and cost disputes. Andrew attends Coroners Inquests and pre-Inquest hearings.
Chancery/Housing
Andrew practices in possession proceedings, housing injunctions (including anti-social behavior injunctions) and other housing matters. Andrew also has experience in advising and drafting in relation to landlord and tenant matters, including unlawful eviction and breach of tenancy claims.
Business
Andrew undertakes work in a variety of areas, including breach of contract, sale of goods and consumer law (including mis-selling of PPI claims). He further accepts instructions in insolvency and bankruptcy matters.
Mental Health
Andrew has experience in representing clients in the Mental Health Review Tribunal in making applications for discharge as well as advising clients in relation to the same.
Freedom of Information
Andrew deals with all aspects of Freedom of Information requests including advisory work, often on an urgent basis. He has a particular interest in the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and has delivered seminars and workshops to Local Authorities on the topic.

Additional Information:
Andrew has extensive experience in dealing with self-represented litigants in civil and employment proceedings, both when acting for Claimant and Defendant/Respondent. Apart from dealing with self-represented litigants in smaller hearings such as County Court small claims hearings and case management discussions in the Employment Tribunal, Andrew has had experience against self-represented litigants in larger, more complex cases, including as particular examples a three day multi-track debt dispute and numerous multiple day unfair dismissal and discrimination cases in the Employment Tribunal.
