Fiona practices exclusively in the field of family law. Within that area she has quickly developed a high-profile practice specialising in public law care proceedings. She appears on behalf of Local Authorities, parents, family members and children’s guardians. Her work has also included instructions from the Official Solicitor.
Fiona also practices in complex private law cases.
Fiona’s experience includes cases of serious non-accidental injuries of the subject child; fabricated illness; sexual abuse/rape; forced drug use of children; adolescent parents; vulnerable adults; foreign adoption; and removal from the jurisdiction. She is experienced in a wide variety of appeals in both the High Court and Court of Appeal.

- Re B (Children) [2005] EWCA Civ 643 regarding removal from jurisdiction.
- Re C (Foreign Adoption: Natural Mother's Consent: Service) [2006] 1 FLR 318.

Drawing on her experience Fiona has given a number of CPD accredited lectures on various areas of child law and also led work shops for Local Authority Social workers.
