Nicola is a family practitioner with a special interest in ancillary relief proceedings and proceedings relating to co-ownership of property under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996.

Nicola is one of only two barristers in the North East trained in collaborative law. She has a longstanding interest in mediation and alternative dispute resolution.

Nicola regularly delivers continuing professional development lectures in the field of ancillary relief and Trusts of Land law. She appears in the local County Court, and also in the High Court, and has been involved in cases in the Court of Appeal, both led and appearing as junior counsel.
