Estelle joined Trinity Chambers as a pupil in January 2024 under the Supervision of David Callan and is undertaking a specialist Criminal pupillage.
EXPERTISE
Estelle has a background in Criminal Law after working as a paralegal at a prominent criminal defence firm in the North East before commencing pupillage. During her time in this role, Estelle dealt with a variety of Crown Court cases and assisted in the preparation and progression of each case. Estelle worked closely with clients and gained valuable experience in advising clients on a variety of issues, including to those with particular vulnerabilities.
Whilst at university, Estelle excelled in her criminal advocacy modules achieving the highest classification. Estelle also co-founded the Northumbria Bar Society which aims to assist aspiring barristers in their journey towards the profession, and volunteered for the Witness Service at her local magistrates court to assist witnesses during their time spent in a courtroom environment.
Estelle is keen to develop her advocacy skills and is interested in a practice which includes both prosecuting and defending.
