Fraser Williamson

Fraser commenced a mixed pupillage with Trinity Chambers in October 2024, under the supervision of Vilma Vodanovic. Fraser will predominantly be based in Leeds.
Prior to joining Trinity Chambers, Fraser enjoyed a career in sports regulation, having been both regional discipline manager and senior discipline manager at The Football Association over a period of six years. During this period, Fraser was responsible for drafting and implementing pioneering changes to football regulation relating to behaviour. Fraser also led on four occasions the National Serious Case Panel Conference, delivering important regulatory updates to both a lay and legal audience.
Fraser is also a director of his own business, representing and advising football clubs and participants on the governing regulations in place from time to time. Some of the specific work previously undertaken by Fraser includes but is not limited to defence advocacy, alongside advising prospective football club owners on the Acquisition of Control & Owners’ & Directors’ Test.
Fraser also enjoyed a period as member of the judiciary, specifically as a magistrate on the South Yorkshire Bench between 2020 and 2023. During this period, Fraser would adjudicate as part of a lay bench on all offences triable by summary only and some offences triable either-way, including but not limited to, most motoring offences, common assault and theft.
Fraser is a keen football supporter and has an avid interest in Nottingham Forest Football Club. Fraser studied the German language for 8 years.
