Fraser is a versatile advocate with a broad practice spanning sports law, social housing, property, employment, personal injury, regulatory, and quasi-criminal matters. He is regularly instructed in complex and contested litigation involving regulatory frameworks, disciplinary proceedings, public protection issues, serious injury claims and housing disputes. 

Sports Law

Fraser combines specialist industry experience with advocacy and advisory expertise in sports law. Prior to joining the Bar, Fraser worked at The Football Association as a Senior Discipline Manager, where he was responsible for managing disciplinary and regulatory matters across category 5 football. In that role, he worked closely with clubs, participants, disciplinary commissions and governing bodies in relation to disciplinary charges, misconduct proceedings, sanctions, appeals and regulatory investigations. This experience provides him with a detailed understanding of sporting disciplinary frameworks, governance structures and the practical operation of regulatory processes.

Fraser has advised and represented sports clubs, governing bodies and participants in a broad range of disciplinary and regulatory matters. His experience includes advising on anti-doping allegations, sporting misconduct, disciplinary investigations, sanctions and appeals.

He has represented professional sporting clubs and individual participants at disciplinary and regulatory hearings and regularly advises on issues of governance, compliance, safeguarding and procedural fairness. Drawing upon both his industry and legal experience, Fraser is particularly well placed to advise sporting organisations and participants facing disciplinary or regulatory action.

Fraser is a member of the British Association for Sport and Law.

Social Housing

Fraser has extensive experience acting for both claimants and defendants in social housing litigation. He is regularly instructed in possession proceedings involving rent arrears, anti-social behaviour, tenancy breaches and allegations of nuisance. He has significant experience in defending and advancing Equality Act 2010 arguments, including cases involving disability discrimination, reasonable adjustments and proportionality challenges.

Fraser is frequently instructed in applications for Anti-Social Behaviour Injunctions and Closure Orders and has represented both landlords and occupiers in contested proceedings involving Equality Act 2010 considerations. He regularly deals with public law arguments and Article 8 ECHR issues arising within possession and housing management disputes.

His experience acting for both social/private landlords and tenants provides him with a detailed understanding of the strategic and practical considerations arising in housing litigation and enables him to provide balanced and effective representation in complex and sensitive cases.

Property

Fraser regularly advises and represents parties in residential property disputes. His practice includes mortgage possession claims, landlord and tenant disputes, occupation disputes and housing-related injunctions. He has particular experience in mortgage litigation, including cases involving disputed arrears calculations, allegations of unfair lending practices, complex mortgage accounts and challenges to enforcement action.

Employment & Discrimination

Fraser acts for both employers and employees in Employment Tribunal proceedings. He has particular experience in unfair dismissal, whistleblowing and TUPE disputes, including claims arising from business transfers, organisational restructures and workplace reorganisations.

He advises on disciplinary and grievance procedures, workplace investigations, contractual disputes and issues arising from the termination of employment. Fraser has represented parties at both preliminary and final hearings and provides practical, commercially focused advice designed to achieve effective and proportionate outcomes.

Personal Injury

Fraser advises and represents both claimants and defendants across a broad range of personal injury litigation. His practice encompasses employer's liability, public liability and road traffic accident claims together with cases involving complex issues of liability, causation and quantum.

He advises on medical evidence, future losses and litigation strategy and has experience in both straightforward and higher-value claims. Fraser is instructed in serious injury cases involving significant ongoing care needs, future loss of earnings and complex quantum issues. He is accustomed to working with medical and expert evidence and providing clear and practical advice on prospects, settlement and litigation risk.

Regulatory

Fraser has developed a strong regulatory and enforcement practice spanning sports regulation, housing enforcement and public protection proceedings. He regularly advises and represents clients in disciplinary hearings, safeguarding matters, enforcement applications and regulatory investigations.

His work frequently involves issues of procedural fairness, statutory interpretation, evidential analysis and regulatory compliance. He is particularly experienced in cases where civil, regulatory and quasi-criminal jurisdictions overlap and regularly advises clients facing significant professional, regulatory and reputational consequences.

Criminal

Fraser has significant experience in quasi-criminal and enforcement proceedings. He has acted on behalf of various Chief Constables in applications for Closure Orders under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 and related enforcement proceedings. He has also been instructed in matters involving the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002, including confiscation and enforcement issues.
