Prior to beginning his career as a barrister, Lewis spent over a year at a leading firm specialising in contract negotiation. This involved work spanning the European and Asia-Pacific offices of a global investment bank. As a result, Lewis became adept in paperless and remote working. He carries this expertise into his family practice and confidently employs technology to assist his clients, which has been especially useful during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Lewis has also volunteered at the PSU charity (now known as Support Through Court), where he provided practical and empathetic assistance to litigants in person who were often navigating the family court for the first time and without the assistance of a lawyer. He brings this client focused approach to his practice at the Bar.
During his studies, Lewis was heavily involved in mooting, appearing at several national and international competitions including the KK Luthra Memorial Moot Court hosted by the University of New Delhi, India in 2017.
Lewis maintains a keen interest in legal academia following a period as a freelance lecturer for BPP Law School.
