Lucy currently accepts instructions in criminal matters.

Having completed pupillage with the Crown Prosecution Service in 2023, Lucy developed her career as a Crown Prosecutor and subsequent Senior Crown Prosecutor. During her time at the Crown Prosecution Service, she appeared daily in both the Magistrates and Crown Court, advocating in a variety of Court hearings, with a particular interest in prosecuting trial Courts.

Known for her pragmatic approach, accompanied with her keen eye for detail, she successfully addressed complex cases in a clear and concise manner, demonstrating a deep knowledge of law and procedure, often commended by both her prosecution and defence counterparts. Her knowledge of the workings of the case as a prosecutor leading her at an advantage in her handling and understandings of the case.

Lucy has successful prosecuted several cases on behalf of the Crown Prosecution Service including:

  • R v R: Secured convictions for a sustained stalking during which the complainant’s home was burgled and the defendant subsequently identified through forensic evidence
  • R v A: Conviction of offensive weapon in public place, despite the knuckleduster in question being wildly available in online markets.
  • R v T: Secured convictions of sustained abuse of trust in which Defendant defrauded grandmother out of her life savings
  • R v G: Secured convictions of serious sexual assault in which the defendant abused his position in the community to commit a series of sexual assaults on children.

Lucy also has experience in defending in the Crown Court

Lucy successfully mitigated for a client who had pleaded guilty to facilitating a child sex offence and sexual communication with a child, persuading the court away from an immediate custodial sentence.
