Lucy joined Trinity Chambers as a tenant in September 2024, having completed pupillage with the Crown Prosecution Service in 2023, swiftly obtaining the position of Crown Prosecutor and Senior Crown Prosecutor, appearing daily in both the Magistrates and Crown Court. Developing her expertise in domestic violence and sexual based offending.
Known for her pragmatic approach, accompanied with her keen eye for detail, she has successfully addressed complex cases in a clear and concise manner, demonstrating a deep knowledge of law and procedure, often commended by both her prosecution and defence counterparts.
Lucy has successfully prosecuted and defended a wide range of offending, securing convictions for complex industrial production of drugs, serious sexual assaults, and complex fraud. Furthermore, she has been successful in her defending, recently obtaining suspended sentences for individuals convicted for being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs, linked to a nationwide police drug operation. In addition, obtaining a suspended sentence for a client convicted of Causing Grievous Bodily Harm, in which a vehicle was utilised as a weapon, persuading the Court away from an immediate custodial sentence.
Commended for her client and witness care, endeavouring to assist in deciphering the complexities of the criminal justice system, making it accessible and understandable to those experiencing a wide range of vulnerabilities.
Lucy is also qualified in Youth Courts and welcomes instructions.
