Speaking at Chambers' 2026 Housing Law Conference, Trinity's Jonathan Massey delivered a session entitled:
‘Contempt – the Sharp End of ASBI: A Guide to Contempt Hearings’.
Breaching an anti-social behaviour injunction is contempt of Court and a contempt application can manifest in one of two ways: arrest under an injunction’s power of arrest; or by the claimant making a committal application.
In his talk, Jonathan focusses on committal applications by reference to relevant the relevant legislation and case law, including Connexus Homes Ltd v Weaver and Weaver [2025] EWCA Civ 655.
