Chambers' members and staff warmly welcome Alison Howey to Trinity's Family team.
Called in 1999, Alison brings over 20 years of experience across a wide range of family law practice, including financial remedy, private and public law children’s cases.
Her Children Act work includes acting on behalf of local authorities, children, parents, relatives and guardians in cases involving factious and induced illness, complex medical evidence, shaking, sexual abuse, international elements, cultural/religious and Human Rights issues.
Alison's varied financial remedy instructions cover complex tax issues, businesses, pensions, multiple properties, maintenance, pre/post-nuptial agreements, injunctions preventing disposal of assets or setting aside transactions, as well as ToLATA disputes.
Also instructed in emergency applications, Alison deals with domestic violence, non-molestation and occupation orders.
Given her passion for animals, Alison has vast experience in and accepts instructions in cases involving animal welfare and dangerous dogs.
Commenting on joining Trinity Chambers, Alison said:
"After spending my whole practice either in very small Chambers, or as a sole practitioner, I am excited to be joining an established and well known family team at Trinity Chambers. After having been based in Nottingham for the last few years and frequently travelling all around England and Wales I now welcome the opportunity to be based back in my home area in the North East."
