Trinity Chambers supported the launch of the Business and Property Court in Newcastle held on the evening of 1st March at Northumbria University's Sutherland Building.

As well as sponsoring the event, barristers and staff from Trinity braved the "Beast from the East" to attend the event joining members from other chambers, solicitors, members of the Judiciary and leading business figures.

The evening was Chaired by Lucy Winskill OBE, Pro- Vice Chancellor (Employability and Partnerships) at Northumbria University with presentations from Sir Geoffrey Vos, Chancellor of the High Court, Mr Justice Barling, Vice Chancellor and His Honour Judge Kramer, Newcastle's first full time Specialist Civil Circuit Judge.

The launch means that the North East will now have its own Business and Property Court, benefitting the region's thriving legal sector and the individuals and businesses it supports. In the words of Mr Justice Barling, "No case is too big for Newcastle to hear".
