The Access to Justice Foundation will be hosting a virtual Q&A session with representatives from the Cardinal Hume Centre at 9am on Wednesday 10th March 2021.
Based in Westminster, the Cardinal Hume Centre provides a range of support to homeless young people, families in need and local people. The Centre focuses on four areas of need: employment, housing, education and skills, and legal status.
The Access for Justice Foundation is a national charity set up by the legal profession focused on funding and supporting access to justice by providing grant funding to advice agencies across the country.
From the Cardinal Hume Centre, Hilary Nightingale, Head of Families, and Debbie Adler, Immigration Services Manager, will share details of the work they deliver and the issues they are facing in the current climate.
The event will be the first in a series being run by the Foundation giving attendees the chance to engage directly with specialist legal advice agencies working on the front-line, as well as the opportunity to understand how the pandemic has affected service delivery within the sector; the impact this has had on often vulnerable service users; and the potential problems the sector may be faced with in the future.
The event is free to attend and will last for a maximum of 45 minutes. Attendees will be able to ask Hilary and Debbie questions about their experiences.
This event will be held via Zoom. To attend, please register here in advance. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
