Chambers Welcomes New Apprentice Clerks to Trinity's Criminal & Family Teams

Trinity's members and staff warmly welcome James Burn and Maisi Cowens to Chambers as Apprentice Clerks, supporting the busy Criminal and Family clerking teams.

The appointments follow the creation of two new Business Administration Apprenticeships as part of Trinity’s continued investment in the future of its expanding practice groups and its commitment to developing new talent within Chambers.

James Burn joins Chambers' Criminal team where his role will include administrative and clerking responsibilities such as diary management and liaising with instructing solicitors, supporting the work of the clerks and members. Having previously completed two years of a Sport Science course at college, James decided to pursue a different career path and was attracted to the opportunity to combine his interest in law with the chance to develop his skills within a professional environment. Outside Chambers, James enjoys going to the gym, following Newcastle United home and away, and spending time with family and friends.

Maisi Cowens will support Trinity’s Family clerking team across various tasks including case administration, diary management and client liaison. She previously studied Law, Psychology and Criminology at college, developing strong organisational skills alongside an understanding of Court procedures. Outside work, Maisi enjoys socialising, travelling, trying new restaurants and keeping fit, and she also has an interest in design.

The Apprenticeships are being delivered in partnership with Newcastle College and combine structured training with practical experience across a wide range of day to day clerking activities.
