Specialist insurance barrister, Graham Bartlett, has had an article published in the December 2017- January 2018 edition of the Chartered Insurance Institute's leading insurance industry publication, The Journal.

In his legal review, Graham examines the High Court case of Leeds Beckett University v Travelers Insurance Company Limited [2017] EWHC 558 (TCC) in which the Judge, The Hon Mr Justice Coulson, considered the case law on the application of the term "accidental damage", particularly where the damage was due to inherent vice or was inevitable.

Graham has also recently has launched a specialist Blog dedicated to legal developments and analysis of the ever evolving insurance industry.

Following his previous career as a chartered loss adjuster, Graham advises extensively on insurance disputes, including in relation to breaches of warranty and utmost good faith. Graham has dealt with a number of building and construction disputes involving damage to both residential and commercial property. He has also been instructed in relation to claims under the insurance clauses in the JCT Standard Form of Building Contract and on Contractors All Risks insurance policies.
