Claire Gibson Joins Trinity Chambers

Trinity's members and staff warmly welcome Claire Gibson who joins Chambers' Family Law team.

Called to the Bar in 2003, Claire practises exclusively in family law, specialising in complex and sensitive public law children cases. Her areas of expertise include vulnerable adults, cases involving young adolescents as both parents and subject children, allegations of sexual abuse and child sexual exploitation, proceedings concerning fabricated or induced illness, serious injury and infant death, deprivation of liberty safeguards, adoption, and matters involving jurisdictional and international issues.

Known for her robust yet sensitive approach, Claire is recognised for her high-quality client care, working with both lay and professional clients during often highly stressful and emotionally charged proceedings. She is frequently instructed to represent local authorities, family members, Guardians and competent children, particularly in the most serious cases involving allegations such as inter-sibling sexual abuse, 'county lines', radicalisation, and non-accidental injuries, including shaking injuries.

Claire regularly appears in led cases alongside King’s Counsel, reflecting the complexity of the matters in which she is instructed. Claire is consistently praised for her approachable manner and accessibility to those she represents.

Claire commented: “I am delighted to begin this new chapter in my career at Trinity Chambers and I’m looking forward to working with Steve and the Family clerking team.”
