Head of Trinity Chambers' Mental Health & Court of Protection Group, Tim Spain, is confirmed as a speaker at the "Mental Capacity Act 2005: An Annual Review" Conference which will take place on 20th October 2011 in York. The annual event has been organised by members of the Healthcare and Welfare Unit at Langleys Solicitors. The event will examine how the regionalised Court of Protection has developed in response to the Mental Capacity Act 2005 as well as providing a practical update in this evolving area.
Tim's session will cover safeguarding adults in the Court of Protection.
The full programme which includes perspectives from the Judiciary and practitioners is aimed at a wide range of professionals including those dealing with community care, adult protection and adult welfare. Solicitors attending the event will be able to claim 6 hours CPD.
The conference commences at 8.40 a.m. and will be held at St.William’s College, York, YO1 7JF.
