Criminal Silk, Francis FitzGibbon Q.C. from Doughty Street Chambers,  joins Trinity Chambers' Criminal and Regulatory groups as a Door Tenant.

Mr FitzGibbon, who was called in 1986 and became Queen's Counsel in 2010, specialises in criminal law, including homicide, gang-related killings, gross negligence manslaughter and cases involving complex causation issues. He also deals with drug trafficking offences inluding major cases of importation and domestic drug trafficking.

Mr FitzGibbon's white collar crime practice covers multi-million MTIC and other frauds and he was also instructed in the Kieran Fallon horserace fixing fraud. He has dealt with a wide range of Sexual offences including historic and ‘cold cases'.

In relation to Appeals Mr FitzGibbon's is often instructed to give second opinions and to act in miscarriage of justice appeals. He undertakes Privy Council work, most recently Moss v R [2013] UKPC 32. Advisory work includes giving assistance on English law to lawyers in other jurisdictions.

As a fee-paid Judge of the First Tier Tribunal (Immigration & Asylum Chamber) since 2002, Mr FitzGibbon also specialises in business immigration law.
