Trinity Criminal and Regulatory barrister, Estelle Chambers secures acquittal following trial at Newcastle Crown Court.
Estelle’s client was tried on indictment for offences of Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm (ABH) and Perverting the Course of Justice.
Following cross examination of key witnesses, the Judge directed the jury to return a Not Guilty verdict in relation to the Perverting the Course of Justice count. The jury also ultimately acquitted Estelle’s client of ABH at the conclusion of the three-day trial.
