Trinity’s Estelle Chambers successfully defended a client charged with domestic assault occasioning actual bodily harm. Estelle was instructed to represent a 61-year-old male accused of biting his ex-partner to the face.
The trial involved issues arising from late disclosure as well as preliminary applications regarding the bad character of both the Defendant and the Complainant. After the three-day trial at Newcastle Crown Court, the jury unanimously acquitted Estelle’s client.
