Damian Murphy Guest Speaker at Law Society In-House Lawyers Networking Event

Trinity's Damian Murphy will be a guest speaker at the next Law Society In-house Lawyer Network social event, to be held between 5pm and 7pm on the evening of Thursday 6th November 2025.

The established network is an opportunity for the region’s in-house lawyers to meet up, share their experiences with colleagues, as well as gain some technical legal updates from industry expert guest speakers.

As part of the evening, Trinity Insolvency, Business & Property barrister, Damian Murphy, will be delivering a talk exploring the rapidly evolving topic of electronic disclosure and its impact across a wide range of practice areas and industry sectors.

Damian's session entitled 'Almost Everyone's Guide to Electronic Disclosure' will cover the following:

  • The role of e-disclosure
  • Interesting cases
  • How to draft the Issues for Disclosure
  • How to address electronic document preservation
  • The impact and wide deployment of Microsoft Teams, recordings, Co-Pilot and AI transcripts

Damian is a leading lawyer in this area, having previously run the electronic disclosure element of a major competition law action and also having worked at UBS as eDiscovery counsel and head of eDiscovery for EMEA and APAC. He then joined a large eDiscovery consultancy where he led projects including the development of electronic disclosure programmes for large multinationals. Since returning to the Bar, Damian's electronic disclosure work has been a core part of his practice and he is currently the lead junior responsible for the electronic disclosure in a large shareholder dispute. He regularly provides training and lectures to lawyers on electronic disclosure under the Civil Procedure Rules.
