Durham University's Mooting & Bar Societies Visit Trinity Chambers

Trinity Chambers' was delighted to host a visit to the Custom House by students from both Durham University's Mooting and Bar Societies.

Several Trinity barristers, including some Durham Alumni, are mentors to members of the Societies and arranged for students to have a tour of Chambers as well as meet Trinity barristers and current pupils from across a range of practice areas.

The informal session, that took place on the evening of Thursday 25th April, was an opportunity for aspiring barristers to ask practitioners about the realities of life at the Bar as well as the practicalities around applying for pupillage and mini-pupillage.

Many thanks to all of the students who attended, as well as Milan Matev and Avi Molina, for helping to co-ordinate the visit.

Feeding back on the session, they said:

"We just wanted to say a massive thank you to all the barristers and pupils present, for hosting such a fantastic event. As many of us are aspiring barristers, we all found the networking opportunity extremely valuable; from speaking to everyone present, we’ve all learned a lot more about the journey to, and life at, the Bar. Once again, thank you for the wonderful event!"
