Trinity Barrister, Alice Richardson has been appointed to the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) Panel of Counsel.
EHRC announced the successful applicants on 15th May 2019 following a rigorous application and selection process. Alice is now on the Commission's list of preferred providers of external legal services, including the provision of representation and advice. The panel legal services will support a wide range of equality and human rights work, including strategic litigation whereby bringing a single case to court will in turn have a potential impact on much a larger number of individuals. The legal work delivered under the four year appointment will cover both domestic and European courts.
Alice has a particular interest in cases involving discrimination, human rights and public law/judicial review. Alice also undertakes regulatory work in the housing, property and local government sectors. She has particular experience advising on licensing schemes under the Housing Act 2004. She was recently appointed to the Attorney General’s Regional Panel of Counsel and is regularly instructed by the Government Legal Department.
Alice is a member of Trinity's Chancery, Judicial Review, Regulatory, Mental Health and Licensing practice groups.
