Family barrister Claire Brissenden joins Trinity Barristers’ Chambers' Family and Ancillary Relief group. Claire will practice from Trinity's Chambers in Middlesbrough and Newcastle.
Following a successful career in business Claire was called to the Bar in 2004. She deals with ancillary relief, private law children matters involving residence and contact, as well as applications relating to domestic violence. In addition to complex contact and shared residence cases, Claire has dealt with finding of fact hearings, cases concerning leave to remove from the jurisdiction, implacable hostility cases and changes of residence.
Claire has a particular interest in ancillary relief and is experienced in dealing with cases involving modest assets where a creative solution is often required to achieve a ‘fair’ result. She has also represented a number of serving and retired members of the armed forces, and has expertise in pensions. Claire deals with both privately and publicly funded cases.
As well as being a trained family mediator Claire is a member of the Family Law Bar Association and North Eastern Circuit.
