Trinity Family and Matrimonial Finance barrister, Kossar Kitching was winner of the Professional Award category at this year's Asian Business Connexions Annual Dinner and Awards Ceremony.
The awards dinner took place on the evening of Thursday 3rd October 2019 at the Grand Hotel, Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne and celebrated the ten year anniversary of Asian Business Connexions (ABC). ABC has helped connect, support and promote a wide range of individuals and organisations. As well as being an established business networking community, ABC deliver a wide range of activities and initiatives including training and employability programmes, education initiatives and community activities helping the development of North East businesses and individuals.
As it was ABC's 10th Anniversary, the evening also saw the launch of the “Asian Women Entrepreneurs (AWE)Some” and “Every One Welcome” campaigns.
With over 300 guests, the evening was one of the largest Asian business celebration events held in the North East. Awards were presented to Asian businesses and individuals for their significant and sustained contribution to the social and economic well-being of the North East.
In addition to a Bollywood Workshop, where guests learned to dance to Bhangra, Brigadier Paul Baker OBE shared experiences from his career in the Armed Forces, Baroness Warsi highlighted the importance of braveness, boldness and self - belief and Sir John Hall, patron of the Primary Inspiration through Enterprise Charity, helped with the prize raffle draw.
Commenting on winning her award, Kossar said:
"It feels amazing to be recognised for my contribution to the North-East Asian community".
Preparations have already started for next year's event to be held on 1st October 2020.
