On the evening of Tuesday 1 May 2018, Trinity Family and Child Care barristers, Patrick Goodings and Kate Fenwick will be delivering a seminar to members and guests of the Tees Valley Law Society.
Experienced Child Care practitioners, Patrick and Kate will explore the legal landscape following the case of Re N, including practical advice about s.20 agreements and Human Rights Act claims. The session will cover:
- Is a s.20 placement appropriate?
- Impact of capacity on s.20 placements
- Consequences of unlawful s.20 placements
- Human Rights Act 1998 claims
The seminar will run from 5.00pm to 7.00pm, with refreshments available from 4.45pm and will take place at Room CL2.10, Clarendon Building, Teesside University, Middlesbrough, TS1 3BX.
This seminar will be delivered at a level which will appeal to experienced solicitors, newly qualified and trainees alike, and will cover parts of sections 6, 7, 11 and 13 of the Solicitors Regulation Authority Statement of Legal Knowledge.
