The Costs and Litigation Funding barristers at Trinity Chambers are again supporting Kerry Underwood's national seminar tour examining Lord Justice Jackson’s report on fixed costs published on Monday 31st July 2017.
The Mercantile, Technology and Construction Court (TCC) and Chancery pilot of High Court cases valued between £100,000 and £250,000 has already started. It is anticipated that Lord Justice Jackson's review will make a range of further wide-reaching changes including - a new Intermediate Track with a compulsory fixed recoverable costs scheme for all civil claims valued between £25,000 and £100,000; fixed costs for all fast track claims and the possibility of clinical negligence claims valued up to £25,000 being brought into the fixed costs scheme.
Kerry's completely new seminar, aimed at all civil litigators, will be the first detailed and practical analysis of Lord Justice Jackson’s proposals and how lawyers can best make them work.
The seminar will be held on Wednesday 27th September 2017 at Newcastle City Juniors Club, Gibside Gardens, Benwell, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE15 7PP and runs from 10.00am to 4.30pm, attracting 5.5 hours Solicitors Regulation Authority CPD accreditation.
A discounted price of £200.00 plus VAT including lunch and course material (normal price £250 plus VAT) applies if places are booked and paid for by 31 July 2017.
