Fraser Williamson Joins Trinity Chambers

The members and staff at Trinity Chambers warmly welcome new tenant, Fraser Williamson, following the successful completion of his pupillage.

Fraser joined Chambers in October 2024 as a pupil. He is practising predominantly from Leeds and maintains a broad common law practice, receiving repeat instructions across both the criminal and civil jurisdictions.

Fraser is regularly instructed to prosecute and defend in the Magistrates’ and Crown Courts, dealing with a wide and complex range of matters, including driving offences, proceeds of crime, drug-related offences, weapon offences, and domestic violence cases.

His civil practice also continues to develop rapidly; he acts on behalf of local authorities, police forces, and private individuals in a range of proceedings, including (but not limited to) homelessness appeals pursuant to section 204 of the Housing Act 1996, housing possession proceedings (both claims and defences), and applications for closure orders and injunctions.

Prior to joining Trinity, Fraser spent six years with The Football Association, where he served as both Regional Discipline Manager and Senior Discipline Manager. In his roles at the FA, he was responsible for drafting and implementing significant regulatory reforms concerning participant conduct and disciplinary processes. With this background, Fraser is therefore developing a busy sports law practice that spans civil, criminal and regulatory specialisms.

Commenting on becoming Trinity’s latest tenant, Fraser said:

“I am thrilled to be joining Trinity Chambers as a tenant following the completion of my pupillage. My time here has been an incredibly rewarding experience, and I am deeply grateful to Vilma Vodanovic, James McHugh, and Richard Stubbs for their mentorship, guidance, and encouragement throughout my pupillage. Their support has been instrumental in shaping my development as a barrister, and I feel privileged to continue my career in such a collegial environment.”
