Specialist Housing barrister, Alice Richardson, will be a guest speaker at the 2018 Lawyers in Local Government (LLG) Weekend Conference taking place in Bristol on 9th and 10th March.
LLG President, Suki Binjal, will open the Conference which is held annually and attended by senior Local Authority lawyers, solicitors and barristers, as well as local government thought leaders from across the UK.
Alice's session will be a detailed analysis of the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 due to come into force on 1st April 2018. The talk will cover the new duties imposed on Local Authorities, how the Act affects existing duties, the new code of guidance and what Local Authorities in England can learn from the regime in Wales.
The two day Conference attracts 8.5 hours Solicitors Regulation Authority CPD.
As well as having a busy housing practice, Alice is also a member of Trinity's Judicial Review, Court of Protection, Licensing and Regulatory practice groups.
