Barristers from Trinity's Housing Law Team will be delivering a series of "on demand" webinars focusing on Appeals in the First-Tier Property Tribunal.

Speakers for the sessions include Trinity housing law specialists Vilma Vodanovic, James McHugh, Alice Richardson, Tom Tyson and Morgan Brien. In the first session below, the housing barristers provide a general introduction to appeals in the First-Tier Tribunal Property Chamber, as well as an overview of the upcoming webinars.

With Chambers in Newcastle, Middlesbrough and Leeds, Trinity's housing barristers act for clients across the North Eastern, Northern Circuits and beyond. Members of the housing team sit as judges in the First Tier Tribunal and have been appointed to the Attorney General's regional panel of counsel and the Equality and Human Rights Commission panel of counsel. They have also been instrumental in setting up the Northern branch of the Social Housing Law Association.

Members of the team can assist with enquiries relating to urgent housing disrepair issues, residential possession proceedings during the coronavirus pandemic, interpretation of the Coronavirus Act and associated Guidance for Landlords (including Housing Associations), Tenants and Local Authorities.

The team can also assist with updates regarding on and offline court procedures, including facilities to deal with remote hearings.

In response to the impact of the coronavirus crisis, the barristers in Chambers' Housing Law team and staff are committed to providing as much assistance as possible, including urgent advice, online resources and other support, during these challenging and unprecedented times. Trinity has a dedicated section of the website focused on COVID-19.

Please note that the content of the webinar is for information only and based on the circumstances at the time of delivery, rather than formal legal advice. Please get in touch with Trinity Chambers if you have a specific legal query.
