On the evening of Thursday 11th December 2014 Trinity barristers Chambers will be hosting a legal update event for the Tyne and Wear Branch of the the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
The popular annual session will be delivered by IOSH members Kirsty Gomersal and James Thompson, partners at Simpson and Marwick Solicitors. The event will be Chaired by Trinity Professional Disciplinary and Regulatory barrister, Ros Scott Bell.
The session will deal with current cases and issues in the field of health and safety and environmental protection. The speakers will examine recent changes in legislation and reflect on (reasons behind) decisions and sentencing for topical health, safety and environmental case law.The event is aimed at Health, Safety and Environmental Professionals and others needing to understand requirements for legal compliance in practice.
Ros Scott Bell is a member of the Specialist Regulatory Advocate in Health and Safety and Environmental Law Panel and was recently recognised in the Legal 500 2014 under Health and Safety and Regulatory - "Her varied practice includes a significant amount of prosecution work for the HSE and local authorities".
