Trinity’s Joe Hedworth, led by Kama Melly K.C., secured convictions against all three men, Reaney, Lightfoot and Wilcock, charged with murder and robbery following a trial lasting four weeks at Teesside Crown Court.
Criminal barrister, Joe Hedworth, led by Kama Melly K.C., Deputy Head, Park Square Barristers, instructed by the Crown Prosecution Service, secured unanimous convictions, against all three defendants, charged with murder and robbery, in less than two hours following a trial which lasted just short of four weeks.
The three men were charged with robbery of a woman during the course of the afternoon of 10th January 2026 outside a property at High Newham Court, Stockton on Tees, and, just twenty minutes later, the murder of an unrelated man, in his own bedroom, that same afternoon.
The jury took less than two hours, on 11th August 2026, to reject the defendants’ various defences, and unanimously convict all three men of both robbery and murder.
