Lucy Todd Joins Trinity Chambers

Trinity's members and staff warmly welcome the latest tenant to join Chambers, Lucy Todd.

Lucy was called to the Bar in 2022 and joins Chambers' Criminal and Regulatory teams having completed her pupillage with the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) where she progressed to the position of Senior Crown Prosecutor. Lucy is a Grade 2 Prosecutor and whilst at the CPS appeared daily in both the Magistrates and Crown Court successfully prosecuting a wide range of cases including stalking, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, abuse of trust and serious sexual assault.

Lucy also has experience in defending in the Crown Court, including a successful mitigation for a client who had pleaded guilty to serious sexual offences, persuading the Court not to make an immediate custodial sentence.

Having developed a reputation for her pragmatic approach and keen eye for detail, Lucy is regularly commended by both her prosecution and defence counterparts. Her extensive prosecution experience gives her an advantage in her handling and understanding of the workings of criminal cases.

Commenting on becoming a tenant at Trinity, Lucy said:

"I am delighted to be joining the exceptional criminal team at Trinity Chambers, I look forward to continuing my career at the Bar now both in defence and prosecution, and taking up the fantastic opportunities that Trinity has to offer."
