On the evening of Thursday 30th April, Trinity Matrimonial Finance barristers in conjunction with Chartered Financial Planners, Rutherford Wilkinson Ltd, will be following up on last year’s “Bolt from the Blue” seminar covering the ramifications of the new pensions flexibility originally announced in the 2014 Spring Budget.

Now that the changes are coming into practice, the update seminar will explain the final rules, some views on the financial planning aspects of the changes and also how the extra flexibility might impact upon and indeed be useful in divorce settlements. The speakers will include from Rutherford Wilkinson, Trevor Clark, Operations Director and Mike Gordon, Technical Director and from Trinity Chambers specialist Matrimonial Finance barristers Christopher KnoxTimothy Spain and Nicola Shaw who will also each contribute to a panel discussion exploring the practical implications of the new “pension freedoms”.

The event commences with registration and refreshments at 5pm and will be held at Trinity Chambers, Custom House, Quayside, Newcastle Upon Tyne. There are 2 Solicitors Regulation Authority accredited CPD points available for this seminar.

The barristers from Trinity's Family and Matrimonial Finance team have recently been recognised in the leading directories:-

"Trinity Chambers is widely recognised on the North Eastern Circuit for its breadth of expertise in family law. Its high-calibre family team is accomplished in areas spanning challenging ancillary proceedings to sensitive children matters for a variety of lay, professional and high-profile clients'" Family/Matrimonial Band 1, Chambers UK 2015.

"Trinity Chambers’ ‘extremely strong' family group is well regarded for its expertise in public law care work, but practitioners have expertise in all areas of family law. The set is also recommended for financial remedy work, and cases involving companies, farming and agricultural businesses." Legal 500 2014, Tier 1 Set.
