Former practising Family Solicitor Advocate, Helen Marshall has joined Trinity Barristers Chambers' Family and Matrimonial Finance team.
Before her transfer to the Bar, Helen worked as a busy family solicitor for over 16 years in Newcastle. Helen was a member of the Law Society Children Panel and a Resolution Accredited Specialist. Helen is experienced in all aspects of marriage and relationship breakdown: ToLATA applications, complex divorce and financial proceedings, including those involving substantial and hidden assets.
Helen deals with all aspects of private law children law, including cases involving domestic abuse, physical and sexual abuse and implacable hostility cases. Helen acts for parents, grand parents, local authorities and Guardians in public law proceedings. She has dealt with cases involving allegations of non-accidental injury, sexual abuse, and domestic violence.
Helen is experienced at representing vulnerable clients and has received instructions to act from the Official solicitor in cases involving the Court of Protection.
Having trained as a collaborative lawyer, Helen is experienced in resolving divorce, financial settlement and arrangements for children, through the collaborative process.
