Trinity Chambers and wealth managers Brewin Dolphin are delivering a joint Matrimonial Finance and Arbitration seminar over lunch time on Thursday 5th March 2020.

The free seminar hosted at Brewin Dolphin's Newcastle offices includes lunch and will be of particular interest to Family Law Finance Lawyers.

Trinity Chambers' Family barrister, Deputy District Judge and Chartered Family Law Arbitrator, Timothy Spain will deliver a matrimonial finance update, examining recent case law and developments. Using practical examples, the session will also explore the increasing use of the Family Law Arbitration process.

Timothy will be joined by Chris Goodwin from Mathieson Consulting, who provide actuarial and expert witness services in divorce cases. Chris will be commenting on the recent good practice guide issued by the Pension Advisory Group (chaired by Mr Justice Francis and His Honour Judge Edward Hess) and considering the implications it has for future pension sharing (and offsetting) on divorce. In addition, there will be contributions from Brewin Dolphin experts Fiona Newborough (Investment Management) and Michelle Harvey (Financial Planning).

The seminar takes place between 12noon and 2pm at Brewin Dolphin, Time Central, 32 Gallowgate, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 4SR. Please click here for further details and to book.
