Chambers’ members and staff warmly welcome Molly O'Neill to Trinity’s Family team.
Called in 2022, Molly has developed a busy family law practice with experience across both Public and Private Children proceedings. She receives instructions on behalf of parents, Local Authorities and Guardians and has acted at all stages of proceedings, from interim hearings through to Final Hearings.
In Public Children Law, Molly has experience of cases involving substance misuse, non-accidental injury, mental health difficulties and domestic abuse. Her Private Children Law practice includes representing both parents and children in proceedings where allegations of domestic abuse and mental health issues arise.
Before beginning practice at the Bar, Molly gained valuable experience supporting individuals involved in difficult and often unfamiliar Court proceedings through her voluntary work with the Witness Service at Bradford Crown Court. She subsequently worked at a busy family law firm in Western Australia, where she was involved in complex family matters including children disputes, cross-jurisdictional issues and cases involving vulnerable parties.
Molly completed the Barrister Training Course at Northumbria University with Distinction, following an LLB at the University of York, which included a year studying in Singapore. She has also completed accredited mediation training through the Society of Mediators and is a member of the Family Law Bar Association.
Her experience working with individuals in challenging circumstances, together with her developing advocacy practice, gives Molly a strong understanding of the importance of clear communication, reassurance and practical advice throughout family proceedings.
Commenting on joining Trinity Chambers, Molly said:
“I am very excited to embark on the next stage in my career as a Tenant at Trinity Chambers. I look forward to developing my practice and working alongside the experienced family team.”
