On the evening of Monday 4th February 2019 Trinity Family Law barristers, Patrick Goodings and Kate Fenwick will be delivering a seminar as part of the Newcastle upon Tyne Law Society's Education Programme.
The seminar will be an update of the Children Act, looking at recent case law, procedural changes as well as practical tips and hints in dealing with public law children cases. Patrick's talk will focus on Privilege, with Kate examining Vulnerable Parties and Practice Direction 3AA. The session will take place between 5.15pm – 6.30pm at Trinity Chambers, The Custom House, Quayside, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 3DE.
Patrick joined Trinity Chambers in October 2016 after a number of years practising from a leading Family Law set on the Western Circuit. Patrick practices exclusively in Family Law, with a strong emphasis on public law children. He routinely conducts multi-day, complex hearings and is an experienced Public Law practitioner representing Local Authorities, Parents and the Children’s Guardian. Kate practises exclusively in the field of family law and Court of Protection and has gained extensive exposure to all aspects of children work, including private and public law cases at all stages of proceedings and in all tiers of the Family Court. She regularly conducts multi-day hearings.
