Trinity Criminal and Regulatory barrister,Tony Cornberg will be delivering a legal interpreting workshop at Newcastle University.
Before becoming a barrister Tony was a practising legal interpreter dealing with Francophone cases. Tony, a member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists, is a regular contributor to Newcastle University’s School of Modern Languages Public Service Interpreting module, providing insights for students training as interpreters. The practical workshop will cover a range of typical legal interpreting situations, such as talking to the police, applications for bail, preliminary hearing and indictment.
The workshop will take place on Tuesday 22nd October at 5pm in lecture Theatre D, in the Dental School, Newcastle University.
