Nearly 60 delegates attended the second annual North East Dental Conference held at the Newcastle Marriott Metro Centre on 3rd November.
The event was delivered by Sintons Solicitors’ Healthcare Team in conjunction with Trinity Chambers, UNW and Rutherford Wilkinson. The Conference Chair was Onkar Dhanoya with contributions from Barry Speker OBE DL, Consultant at Sintons covering Capacity, Consent and Confidentiality; Trinity clinical and dental negligence barrister and former dentist Mike Hill who covered dental record keeping and common issues in dental negligence litigation; Ray Prince, Financial Planner from Rutherford Wilkinson who provided an NHS pensions and tax update, concluding with Alan Suggett from UNW and his son Nigel Suggett, owner of Seaham Smiles, taking delegates through the journey of practice ownership from an accountant and dentists’ perspective.
