Specialist Trinity clinical and dental negligence barrister, Mike Hill, will be a guest speaker at the 2018 North East Dental Conference delivered jointly with Sintons Solicitors’ Healthcare Team, Chartered Financial Planners, Perspective (North East) Limited and UNW LLP Chartered Accountants.

The Conference, Chaired by Onkar Dhanoya, is aimed at practising dentists and will cover a wide range of areas currently affecting dentists including how they can plan ahead to best manage risks to their practice, professional negligence, dealing with workplace sickness absence, data protection and GDPR, personal finances and retirement planning.

Mike Hill, who was a qualified dental surgeon and who practised dentistry for 15 years before becoming a barrister, has a unique perspective and insight into the management of dental negligence claims. Joining Mike is Ray Prince, Certified Financial Planner from Perspective (North East) who will explore investment options. Fiona Campbell, Employment law Associate at Sintons Solicitors will discuss the practical steps involved in managing sickness absence in a dental practice. Also from Sintons, Solicitor Louise Weatherhead will provide an update on the implications of GDPR on dental practices. The Conference concludes with a session from Alan Suggett, Dental Business Unit Partner from UNW LLP Chartered Accountants focused on maximising dental practice profits.

The event will take place at the Newcastle United's ground, St James' Park, Barrack Road, Newcastle Upon Tyne on the evening of Thursday 15th November 2018.
