Specialist Trinity clinical and dental negligence barrister, Mike Hill, will be a guest speaker at the 2017 North East Dental Conference delivered jointly with Sintons Solicitors’ Healthcare Team, Chartered Financial Planners, Rutherford Wilkinson and UNW LLP Chartered Accountants.

The Conference, Chaired by Onkar Dhanoya, is aimed at practising dentists and will cover a wide range of areas currently affecting dentists including how they can plan ahead to best manage risks to their practice, professional negligence and disciplinary proceedings, personal finances and retirement planning.

Mike Hill, who was a qualified dental surgeon and who practised dentistry for 15 years before becoming a barrister, has a unique perspective and insight into the management of dental negligence claims. Joining Mike is Ray Prince, Certified Financial Planner from Rutherford Wilkinson who will explore the possibility of early retirement. Amanda Maskery, Partner at Sintons Solicitors will discuss the practical steps involved in buying and selling a dental practice. Also from Sintons, Associate Solicitor Fiona Campbell will explore the professional disciplinary aspects of dental practice. The Conference concludes with a session from Alan Suggett, Dental Business Unit Partner from UNW LLP Chartered Accountants focused on maximising dental practice profits.

The event will take place at the Newcastle Falcons Rugby Club, Kingston Park, Newcastle Upon Tyne on the evening of Thursday 9th November 2017.
