Northamptonshire Police Misconduct Hearing Success for Trinity Barrister

Trinity Professional Disciplinary and Misconduct barrister, Steven Reed, successfully presented a case on behalf of Northamptonshire Police against PC Dumbarton.

The officer faced allegations of serious sexual assault that amounted to the rape of a female, Miss A, while off-duty. The officer had previously been acquitted of criminal allegations that emanated from the same incident.

At the conclusion of a 4-day hearing, during which Miss A and the officer gave live evidence, the panel found that all the allegations were proved and amounted to Gross Misconduct. The officer was thereafter dismissed without notice by the panel.
