Trinity Employment and Discrimination Law Barrister, Jamie Anderson examines the publication of Employment Tribunal judgements online in an article published in the May 2017 edition of the Internet Newsletter for Lawyers.

Jamie's article, Employment Tribunal Judgments Online, provides an overview of the new resource, together with the practical implications of having Employment Tribunal judgments available online on GOV.UK at www.gov.uk/employment-tribunal-decisions which is still in the "beta test" phase.

Before the move to online publication, generally the only way practitioners could access a first instance judgment was if one of the parties published it or if the judiciary considered it to be of sufficient importance to publish, alternatively it could be accessed and located in person through the central register.

Concluding, Jamie highlights that whilst ready access to the judgements is a positive step, employment law practitioners, including solicitors and barristers, should consider whether there are sufficient safeguards to protect parties given the now increased likelihood of such information being available in the public domain.

Jamie specialises exclusively in employment and discrimination law and is regularly recognised in the leading directories: "Approachable, realistic and direct " Legal 500 2016 "He really cares about getting the right result" Legal 500 2015.
