On the afternoon of Saturday 24th May 2025 a charity football match will take place in memory of fondly regarded and much missed member of Trinity Chambers, Peter Walsh who sadly passed in April 2020.
A 'Legends' team made up of some of the many players who were coached by Peter for Wylam Celtic over the years will play in his memory as a fundraiser for The People’s Kitchen, a charity that he supported and was chosen by his wife, Debbie.
Dedicated to helping homeless and vulnerable individuals, The People's Kitchen relies entirely on donations and volunteers. Whether facing the threat of homelessness, unemployment, isolation, or poverty, many individuals turn to the charity as a vital source of hope and practical support. The charity provides hot meals, clothing, toiletries, food parcels, mobile phones and sleeping bags to those living on the streets. They also work closely with partner services to support the transition into accommodation, offering essential items such as furniture, bedding and meals.
The match kicks off at 3pm and will take place at Corbridge United Football Club based at Tynedale Rugby Club, Station Road, Corbridge, Northumberland, NE45 5AY. All are welcome, with refreshments available at the cricket clubhouse following the match.
