John Campbell Q.C. joins Trinity's Planning team as a full time member.
Having initially qualified as a solicitor in Scotland, Mr Campbell Q.C. was called to the Bar in 1988 and took Silk in 1998. He has worked in town and country planning since the mid 1990s. Mr Campbell's extensive experience includes environmental law and construction law. He is particularly active in renewable energy work on behalf of communities, NGOs, third parties, developers and Local Authorities. His practice today is mainly in planning and environmental law, property, land law,agriculture and energy work. He has dealt with approximately 200 public inquiries and a number of related Judicial Reviews. He has developed a specialist practice in all fields of Alternative Dispute Resolution(ADR) work.
As well as being Chairman of Scotland’s largest Building Preservation Trust, and of a University Research Advisory Board, Mr Campbell regularly delivers seminars on planning law and Arbitration to solicitors, local authorities, students and clients and has written a number of articles on Listed Buildings and Built and Natural Heritage issues.
