On the evening of Wednesday 24th June 2020, Trinity Family Law Barrister Claire Brissenden and Pupil, Jack Cottrell, will be hosting a free, live and interactive online workshop as a follow up to their Private Fact Finding webinar (link below). As well as providing practical tips for statements and schedules, the webinar below covers:
- What is a Fact Finding hearing?
- Why do we have Fact Finding hearings?
- Why do we need a Scott Schedule and what is it?
- Choosing allegations
The follow up session aims to put into practice the topics discussed in the above webinar. Using the example sheets, that you will be sent on registration (including a summary of everything from the first webinar) you will be asked to choose your best 10 allegations from the examples, and give reasons why you chose the ones you did and not the ones you didn’t. During the online workshop you will be put into small groups in breakout rooms for approximately 15 minutes to discuss the allegations with others, and then we will get back together to talk about which ones you have chosen and why.
This second follow up session will be an opportunity to meet other legal professionals, and share experiences of best practice, as well as learn from others.
Places are limited for the second live follow up webinar that starts at 7.30pm and is expected to last no more than 2 hours. To register your interest and for joining details, please email events@trinitychambers.co.uk
