Warm congratulations to Trinity Sports Law barrister, Richard Stubbs who has been appointed to the Rugby Football Union (RFU)'s Independent Disciplinary Panel.
Richard was appointed following an extensive application process. His selection means that he will sit alongside Judicial Officers on disciplinary hearings up to RFU premiership level in England. The selected panellists also include several former players.
As well as managing the RFU’s disciplinary process, the role of Independent Panel Members includes ensuring that all those who wish to participate in Rugby Union in England are treated fairly, penalising any foul play to prevent the risk of injury to other players. 166 RFU hearings took place during last year's season.
