The Jury at Armagh Crown Court found convicted child killer Robert Black guilty of murdering Jennifer Cardy in Ballinderry, County Antrim, 30 years ago. He was sentenced by Judge Weatherup to life imprisonment.
Head of Trinity Chambers, Toby Hedworth Q.C. was instructed by the Public Prosecution Service to lead the prosecution team in the Trial. In 1994 Robert Black was convicted at Newcastle Crown Court for the murders of Susan Maxwell, Caroline Hogg and Sarah Harper. Toby Hedworth Q.C. led Donna McColgan in the Crown Court proceedings.
